Statistical methodology: I am particularly interested in methods for statistical inference for data with non-trivial dependence structures. Examples:

• Pseudo likelihood methods for time series of counts
• Functional data analysis
• Statistics for stochastic processes, in particular for SDE models
• Quantile regression for clustered data

Applied statistics: As part of my work in Data Science Lab I am mainly involved in applications in biology, life sciences and related fields. Sometimes, analyses are applications of standard methods (standard from a statististician’s point of view, and often with a twist); sometimes the data requires development of new statistical methodology. Examples:

• Analysis of OTU data with dependence
• Mixtures of toxicants
• Applications of (generalized) linear mixed models
